2. Qoricancha: This temple, dedicated to the Sun God, was one of the most sacred places in the Inca era. Today, the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán stands on its foundations, fusing Inca and colonial architecture.
3. Archaeological Ruins: a. Sacsayhuamán: Marvel at the impressive architecture and engineering of Sacsayhuamán, a fortress dating back to the rule of the Inca Pachacútec. b. Qenqo: Explore Qenqo Grande and Qenqo Chico, a complex that includes an amphitheater and underground galleries, just 6 km from Cusco. c. Pucapucara: Known as the “Red Fortress,” this strategically located military and administrative building features platforms, terraces, and stairways. d. Tambomachay: Discover the construction dedicated to the worship of water, with aqueducts, canals, and waterfalls that still function today.
